Girl Party!!

My cousin Molly, her husband John, and their cute baby Alice were in town this weekend for John's work. They stayed with us while they were here and we had one non stop party! While the boys worked hard we played hard. We went to the baby expo on Friday and got some great ideas of things we want to make like bows and dresses and braceletts...who knows maybe one day we'll have a boutique of our own! It was so much fun to see our little girls play together this weekend. When we first introduced the girls they just loved eachother instantly!! They both reached for eachother and just laughed and laughed. At one point yeaterday I looked over at Alice and she had Valerie's binki in her mouth and I said "oh look Alice stole Valerie's binki" and then we looked at Valerie and she had Alice's binki in her mouth, they traded binkis!!! I laughed so hard that I cried!

I feel like I need to catch up on all that has been happening lately so here it goes:

Brandon planned a secret date for me on my birthday and I could not stand not knowing what was happening!! Well we dropped Valerie off with his mom and drove down to provo. He took me to dinner at an awesome mexican food resturant in provo and then just down the street to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolored Dreamcoat!!! I have never seen it before, but I have the CD and am obsessed with it. I make Brandon listen to it everytime we are on a road trip!! I LOVED it! You should have seen the perma grin I had when I found out that is what we were doing! It was the best birthday surprise ever!!

For Easter yesterday we went to stake conference where we were lucky enough to have Boyd K Packer speak to us...it was awesome!! Then we went to my parents house and ate dinner and hung out with a bunch of my family that I rarely get to see anymore. Then we did the same at Brandon's parents house. I am happy to announce that I took a pair of sissors to Valeries hair for the first time ever yesterday!! I didn't cut the whole thing like I want to, just the bangs (they were starting to poke her in the eyes!) She also was introduced to her first vegetable yesterday which was a sweet potato. What a fun filled day she had yesterday!!

Brandon's brother Daniel (who just got engaged by the way...congrats!!) took some pictures of Valerie for us. They would have been way cute if we could have gotten her to not be so grumpy. We are going to try again and hope to get atleast half a smile. I love the black and white!

Pregnancy scare!!

Wow I never thought at this point in my life I would be taking a pregnancy test, but Saturday morning at exactly 9:25 that is just what I was doing. Lets start from the beginning shall we? I gave birth to Valerie on October 10, 2007. Yep just 5 months ago. So I am sure you can all understand my panic when I was a week late. I still had a pregnancy test from when we were trying to get pregnant with Valerie so I took it...negative. I was able to relax for a while and then when I still didn't start and It is 2 weeks late I decided instead of doing one pee test after another we would just go straight for the blood and that way we would know for sure. I think the worst part is just not knowing! So we had to wait an hour after they took my blood for the test results and I am pretty sure that was the longest hour of my life!!! When we called for the results and the guy said negative I was so relieved that I wanted to give him a big hug, but couldn't because he was on the phone. I asked Brandon what he thought of all this and he said he would be happy no matter what the results were. I think he is a better person than me because I think I would have freaked out if I was pregnant right now. I am not sure I could handle having 2 kids a year and a month apart. So I am now thanking my Father in Heaven for the extra time I have with Valerie before we add a little brother or sister to the family.
