GO COUGARS!!!!

It is football season once again and this time we get to go to ALL of the home games! That will make up for last year not going to a single one. My dad got everyone in my family BYU season football tickets for Christmas. We are all (thanks to my Dad) the biggest BYU fans ever. We all grew up going to the games with dad and being obsessed with BYU football. And over the years my love for the Cougars has only deepened. I love that we get to go as a family it is so much fun! Yesterday was the first game and we had a BLAST!! As we were walking into the stadium to find our seats we saw Cosmo and I HAD to get Valerie's picture taken with him! How fun is that!?! Valerie's first BYU game and her first picture with Cosmo all in the same day. I LOVE it!! Thanks for the tickets Dad this is going to be the funnest football season ever!! GO BYU!!!

Valerie's shirt says "you're looking at one cute cougar"

Ty (yep, you guessed it...named after Ty Detmer) & Mimi

And on a more serious note...my Dad lives right by the cemetary where my Grandma Porter (Dad's Mom) and Grandpa Harward (Mom's Dad) have been laid to rest. It has been a long time since I have been there so we took the opportunity to introduce Valerie to her Great Grandparents that are no longer with us. We miss you, love you, and think of you always!!

I have my life back!

I have finished Breaking Dawn, the 4th book in the Twilight Saga, and I must say that I LOVED it! But I also LOVE having my life back and feeling like a normal person again. I am now able to post on my blog, clean my house, and do some online shopping that I have been wanting to do. All the while waiting (not so patiently) for Twilight the movie to come out in November...cant wait!!

Yep you guessed it....more camping!!!

We went with Brandon's family to their annual Tony Grove camping trip. For one of the nights the guys go on an overnight backpacking trip and the girls hike up the next day and bring lunch. We had a blast camping and playing in the lake...or is it a pond...I don't know the difference. Adam, Brandon's Dad, Brandon, and Daniel all geared up for the hike....fun fun!Valerie got to sleep in a big snow suit because it was freezing at night and I was afraid she was gonna catch a cold!
How cute is this little chair?!?! It's Zachary's and Val loved it so much that we are gonna have to get her one now!

Can you tell how excited she is to put on the life vest?!?

Zachary and Valerie, cute cousins!

Proof that I got in!
Valerie attaching Zachary, she does that a lot!

Eating candy.....

....and eating rocks!!

Fun toys!

So here are some of the random things I have caught Valerie playing with lately. Packing peanuts, an empty box, her car seat (even though she throws a fit when she has to sit in it for some reason it is fun when it is not forced on her), and her little play gym thing that she use to lay on when she was a newborn. What a goof ball!
This last picture I just posted because I thought it was cute.

Officially on the bandwagon!

Well I would love to say that my lack of posts lately have been due to the fact that my life is just so exciting that I have absolutely NO time for posting....but that would be a lie. The truth is that, like many of you, I have become completely addicted to the Twilight Series. I started the first one a few weeks ago and have not been able to put them down since. (I mean some days 8 hours straight literally with brief pauses for feeding and bathroom breaks only!) I am finally on the last one and hopefully I can finish way soon so I can get back to normal life, at which point I will continue to post pictures of my cute neglected baby. But seriously who has time for blogging when Bella's life is constantly in danger and at any moment Edward, or any other vampire, could end her life in just a split second of weakness!?! I just have to see what happens next!! Well thanks for reading and for being patient with me while I take time out of ALL my regular duties to do something for myself! (The second half of that sentence was mostly aimed toward my sweet husband who is wondering what has happened to his wife!)

SHE DID IT!!

So Valerie is (by her own choice) strictly breastfed. I have tried off and on ever since she was 6 weeks old to offer her a bottle. She will not drink out of a bottle no matter what. Even if it is pumped breast milk. Yesterday I had a dentist appointment with the dentist I use to work for in Lehi. A couple of the girls and I planned a lunch date right before my appointment so we could catch up on life and my mom offered to watch Valerie while I was gone. Since her feeding time fell right in the middle of my outing I had to take her with me. I was so frustrated by the end of it all that when we got home I looked Valerie in the eye and told her she was drinking out of a bottle and that she was never going to breastfeed again and she just better get use to it because I was sick of taking her EVERYWHERE or planning things exactly around her feeding schedule!! So I pumped and gave the bottle to Brandon and asked him to try (I hear they take it better from someone other than Mom).....and....she chugged the whole thing down in a couple of minutes!!!!! Since then I have offered her the bottle every feeding and she takes it from me now too! She even gets excited when she sees the bottle coming because she knows it has food in it! Ok now is where I ask your advice...again...Do I feed her only out of the bottle now, or do I wean her and do some breastfeeding and some bottle? She seems fine with the bottle so I am wondering if we can just make a clean break. Let me know your thoughts I would appreciate it!
