Well as promised here are the 5 things that kept me at home and away from the computer last week...
Tracie...
... Carson...
...Emma...
...Katelynn...

One day Brandon put in an old exercise video and told the kids to do what the lady on TV did...they actually did it for a while it was so cute!
They brought their Nintendo Wii and we all had fun playing it a bunch...Valerie had fun watching everyone play, in this picture she was sitting there cheering them on!
Emma didn't ever want to go lay down for a nap so I would put in a movie for her and she would fall asleep...even with all the noise...SO cute!!
Dinner time was always an adventure...I was not quite sure how to cook for so many people...luckily they were willing to eat leftovers when I made too much of something.
This is one of the few times these two actually played together...I don't think Katelynn was a big fan of Valerie because Val would try to steal her toys so she pretty much avoided her.
A few things I learned about me this week:

We had our neighbors kids from Wednesday morning until Sunday afternoon with a break on Saturday for the football game. It was a crazy week!!

A few things I learned about me this week:
- I only want 2 kids (as opposed to the 4 I thought I wanted).
- I never want 2 in diapers at once (between 2 kids and 1 dog that is a lot of poop!).
- I can be (according to Tracie) "as mean as their mom."
- When I have a couple kids I am going to have 1 room in my house that can as messy as the kids want it to be...but the toys and mess HAVE to stay in that one room.
- I need to have all my "Me" time while I only have 1 kid cause once there is a few of them you never get to be alone.
- When you are in a huge hurry to take a shower it's easy to forget to shave your arm pits!
Well that's about it...Thanks for the training lesson Jenny! I hope you guys had a great vacation! Happy 10th Anniversary!
6 leave your thoughts here:
you are AMAZING! i still can't believe you took on that responsibility. So no more 4 kiddos huh? ha ha ha. don't give up yet - you are a fantastic mom. i think you should have at least 6 *wink, wink*
so i'm bummed i didn't get to see you today. i'm looking forward to thursday. i can't wait to see valerie too. just seeing pictures of her makes me want to give her tons and tons of kisses!
Sounds like you had a crazy week! But just so ya know, it is alot easier whith your own kids! (although you still go crazy once in a while!:)
Wow, great job! That is such a nice thing for you to do for your neighbors, really, that is beyond awesome...what a great person you are. I am sure that was VERY hard and very BUSY. Luckily you only have one kid (usually) at a time, so you can get used to having kids one at a time...:) It is a prophecy that one day, even LDS women won't want kids, thats the way the world is headed. :)Russ and I are debating if we ill have a third. Altho I am sure we will, and I know deep down we want another one, parenthood is so hard sometimes! :) Anyway, that turned into a long comment....haha
Yeah, what Katie said about them being your own makes it a little easier. I can relate to you though. Not because I have 4 of my own kids, but because I watched Katie and Vern's kids for about 10 days one time (granted, I didn't have them at night). I was 8 1/2 months pregnant, and I had 7 kids altogether. I had to keep 2 houses clean too. It was crazy, but it was a lot of fun! It made me realize that I can handle a handful of kids, and not go crazy for at least 10 days!! :) sorry, long comment too....
I looked at your post earlier, but didn't have time to comment. Thank you again so much Ali, you are a great friend and I appreciate you taking the kids. The pictures made me laugh and I'm pretty sure you got a fairly accurate view of how busy 4 kids is, but as I said before, I can still take naps. :) You did a great job with the kids and they had a great time with you. Thanks again!!!!
What in the world? it says you posted a new post. but i look - and nothing???
